SHIPPING POLICY
Chocolate Gourmet Chocolates (CGC) provides FREE 2-3 day delivery service to anywhere in the continental United States. CGC does not deliver to Alaska or Hawaii. During the checkout process, your shipping options will default to FREE SHIPPING. CGC also offers options for next day and guaranteed second day expedited shipping at standard market rates depending on the weight of your order and your ship-to location.
Due to the delicate and perishable nature of the chocolates we sell, CGC only ships orders out on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays to prevent the chocolates from sitting on a truck over a weekend and to ensure safe delivery. For shipments to warm weather destinations and during the summer months, we ship orders on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays only; additionally we pack each box with special insulation and gel ice to ensure the safe arrival of your chocolates.
Please note that we cannot ship to P.O. Boxes. You must provide a street address for your order. Be sure to include appropriate suite or apartment numbers when necessary to ensure proper delivery. To ensure your chocolates arrive in the best possible condition, we require a signature for receipt of product at delivery (this prevents the chocolates from being left unattended or in weather conditions that could damage or otherwise detract from the quality of your chocolates). We strongly recommend shipping your package to your work address (when shipping to a business, the business name, individual’s name, suite and/or floor number and phone number must accompany the address) or a destination where there will be somebody available to sign for the package and keep it safe.
Orders placed online before 3:00 PM EST normally ship within one business day (though we make every effort to ship orders received before 3:00 PM EST that same day), unless a specified delivery date is indicated. We do not charge your credit card until your order ships. It is our goal to ensure your chocolates arrive in perfect condition for you to fully enjoy. In most cases, a customer service representative will contact you by phone to let you know when your order will ship and verify that someone will be available to sign for your delivery.
